family friendly self-catering farm holiday accommodation

Luxury child friendly self-catering for families with babies, toddlers and small children

If you have babies, toddlers or older children, and prefer total independence and privacy when on holiday, then the Nursery Rhyme Barns are for you. If you just fancy more space with your own exclusive play area, deck and barbeque, but don’t want to cook all the time, then Bo Peep or Humpty Dumpty cottages are also perfect!

Children friendly self-catering farm holidays at Higher Lank Farm, Cornwall

In the year 2000, we began restoring our 17th century listed barns to provide self catering facilities with a twist!

Designed specifically for families with babies, toddlers and older children, with enough space for Grandparents to come too Bo Peep Cottage opened its front door to welcome guests on 30 July 2005. It was followed by Humpty Dumpty Cottage at the beginning of April 2011 which we designed especially for families with lots of children (like us!) with enough space for two sets of twins or triplets or both.

If your children want to bring their grandparents too Bo Peep is the perfect holiday, as Granny and Grandpa will have their own ensuite facilities upstairs, with your family accommodation on the ground floor.

If you have young twins, or triplets, or lots of small children then Humpty Dumpty is the perfect place, with all the equipment in triplicate.

All the specialist baby equipment and facilities you could ever need are provided, at no extra charge. This means you can travel light, not arrive totally exhausted, and collapse and unwind, while your children discover all the wonderful new toys they can play with in the week ahead. Your toddler-proof private garden with its deck, outdoor furniture, barbecue and children’s play equipment means you can relax outside too and sit back and enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside.

In the mornings you can join in with animal feeding very morning from Sunday to Friday (there’s no animal feeding on Saturday mornings)and explore our play areas. If you have older children, they can help put the animals to bed and give our orphan lambs a bedtime bottle in the Spring as well as helping at morning feeding.
