Higher Lank Farm’s Green Policy

Green Policy

We have electric car charging facilites
Our cottages and swimming pool are heated and all hot water provided by our biomass boiler using locally and sustainably sources wood chip.
We welcome real nappy users and provide nappy buckets and a free nappy laundry service for guests.
We  offer a real nappy loan service , in partnership with the Cornish Real Nappy Campaign.
We are able to give guests who would like to try real nappies an opportunity to do so. Guests can borrow, free of charge, a selection of real nappies for the duration of their stay with us and we will give advice and help. The aim of our partnership with the Real Nappy Campaign is to help reduce the amount of landfill comprised of nappy waste in Cornwall and, if we can persuade you of the benefits, in the counties you live in too.

For information on the benefits of real nappies for you, your baby and the environment, contact:

Green Policy in the Nursery Rhyme Barns

Our barn conversions have been completed with environmental issues in mind. We have used the highest U value insulation available, installed underfloor heating to save on fuel consumption and wood burning stoves that will burn logs from our woods. Electrical appliances are ‘A’ rated for efficiency.
Both our cottages, the farmhouse and our endless pool are heated by our biomass boiler fuelled by local wood chip.

We also operate a recycling programme in both cottages.

Green Travel

We welcome guests who wish to travel by train. We are happy to arrange pick ups from Bodmin Parkway Station and to arrange bicycle hire for the duration of your stay. Visit www.gobycycle.co.uk to see the large selection of bikes available for hire.
