Recently and frequently asked questions..here goes!
When can you arrive?
Now our swim shed coffee bar is up and running families can arrive from 1.30pm and have coffee/tea/snacks and ice cream sundaes served to them in one of our play areas. We'll come and fetch you when your cottage or farmhouse accommodation is ready. If it's rainy then we can serve in the swim shed bar area. The pool and jacuzzi themselves are not yet open on Saturdays, but we are working towards this too.
Is Higher Lank Farm open all year round?
We close mid November because it gets seriously muddy after then! We reopen mid March with baby lamb, calves being born and lots of chicks and ducklings.
Are pony and trap rides and pony rides included in the cost of your holiday?
Most definitely! All our morning animal activities are included, it's just dependent on the weather whether which do we do the rides as it's always more fun for both ponies and children when the sun is shining.
Can our children take part in animal feeding every morning?
Yes. We feed our animals with our assistant farmers every morning including Saturday, usually about 9.30am, but this varies from week to week to fit in with everyone staying. Animal feeding takes about an hour and there is something for everyone to do and see no matter how old. Our youngest pony rider was 8 weeks old!
